At Onaro, Roy Alon focuses on ensuring customer success by delivering software solutions that provide true business value. In addition to directing the company’s post-sales support team, Mr. Alon leads Onaro’s R&D team and is responsible for quantifying the impact of Onaro’s technologies on today’s enterprises.
Prior to co-founding Onaro, Mr. Alon served as an officer in the Israel Defense Force’s (IDF) intelligence unit. During his army service, he created a new department that combined computer specialists and intelligence experts to perform a range of communications software projects. Mr. Alon received a special award from the IDF for his ingenuity in developing and running that department. He also led several IDF projects, including an R&D initiative that led to the development of security, storage and networking solutions.
Prior to his military service, Mr. Alon worked as a software engineer at Orbotech, a leader in high-tech inspection and imaging solutions for printed circuit boards. He holds a master's degree in economics and a bachelor's degree in computers and economics with honors from Tel Aviv University.
