Dr. Raphael Yahalom is the chief-scientist of Onaro. He works closely with Onaro’s customers and is considered a leader in the storage industry on SAN analysis, on storage technology trends, and on leveraging IT infrastructures in organizations for business competitive advantages. Dr. Yahalom combines expertise in both academic research and innovative applied business solutions.
Prior to co-founding Onaro, Dr. Yahalom was a visiting faculty member at MIT's Sloan School of Management and a faculty member at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, specializing in research in the areas of information technologies, distributed systems, information security, electronic commerce and risk management. He also held invited visiting scientist appointments at AT&T Bell Labs, Siemens Research Labs, Karlsruhe University (Germany), Cambridge University (UK) and Cornell University. Dr. Yahalom has also worked with large financial organizations on the formal analysis and design of their operational business processes.
Dr. Yahalom obtained his doctoral degree in computer science from Cambridge University (UK) and a bachelor’s degree (cum laude) in EECS from the Technion Israel Institute of Technology.
