Onaro Demonstrates VM Insight for Virtual Machine Infrastructure Management at VMworld 2007
SAN FRANCISCO, CA – September 11, 2007 - Onaro, Inc. (http://www.onaro.com), the leader in storage service management, is demonstrating this week for the first time publicly VM Insight, a new product in the SANscreen product family designed to maximize the benefits while minimizing the risks for virtual machine implementations at VMworld 2007, Booth #1229, in San Francisco, CA. This demonstration illustrates SANscreen’s service path awareness and change management capabilities and extends it to virtualized server environments.

- Provides a cross-domain infrastructure management framework for both server and storage administrators
- Provides a cross-datacenter infrastructure management for both physical and virtual environments
Until now, no applications were available to manage the cross domain and cross-datacenter infrastructure challenges needed to support the combined virtual server and storage infrastructure. Most virtual machine management applications have focused on managing the VM’s themselves and their associated images without regard to the surrounding non-virtual infrastructure. Within storage management, storage resource management (SRM) applications have focused on building agents to read file level data for the virtual machines. VM Insight is the first cross domain application for both VM system administrators and storage administrators.
