Onaro SANscreen™ Continues Domination of Storage Industry Awards
SANscreen Wins MVP Award for “Most Innovative Product” and MITX Award for “Outstanding Achievement”
BOSTON, Mass. – June 13, 2005 - Onaro, Inc., the pioneer of change management software for storage networks, today announced its SANscreen Predictive Change Management software is a winner in the Most Innovative Product category of the 2005 Most Valuable Product (MVP) Awards Program. The program is sponsored by InfoStor and the Association of Storage Networking Professionals (ASNP). Onaro’s SANscreen also received an Outstanding Achievement Award from the Massachusetts Innovation and Technology Exchange (MITX) in the category of Data Management. The company was honored in two separate ceremonies on June 7 and June 8, held in Long Beach, CA and Boston, MA respectively.
These awards mark the sixth and seventh honors this year that Onaro SANscreen has received for the value its Predictive Change Management technology delivers to large organizations with complex storage environments.
"That prestigious organizations like InfoStor, ASNP and MITX recognize SANscreen’s innovation and value to IT echoes the tremendous ROI that our customers quickly gain from automated SAN Change Management,” said Andrew Bird, vice president of marketing, Onaro, Inc. “Predictive Change Management – the ability to anticipate the impact of changes across an entire SAN before implementation – has become recognized as an essential enterprise storage strategy. SANscreen prevents errors that cause downtime and allows storage organizations to operate their storage networks with complete confidence and high application availability."
The MVP Awards Program recognizes the "best of the best" of storage networking products in the industry, as determined by storage end-users. This prestigious awards program is co-sponsored by two user-focused organizations – InfoStor, the leading storage-specific publication for enterprise storage professionals, and the Association of Storage Networking Professionals (ASNP), the first worldwide organization dedicated to the needs of storage networking users. In the Most Innovative Product category, winners were selected by industry analysts and ASNP's 2000 members.
"InfoStor congratulates Onaro on winning the Most Valuable Product award in the Most Innovative Product category," said Dave Simpson, Editor-in-Chief of InfoStor magazine. "It’s important to note that the winners were determined by votes cast by InfoStor’s end-user readers and members of the ASNP – all of which are end users – based on their own stringent criteria."
The MITX Technology Awards recognize innovative technologies developed in the New England area, as well as the individuals and organizations responsible for driving these advancements. SANscreen was recognized not only for its innovative technology, but also for the value Onaro is bringing to a diverse set of customers.
"For the second straight year we were able to assemble the region’s top technology minds into one room and honor those individuals and companies whose achievements were truly exceptional," said Kiki Mills, Executive Director of MITX. "The volume and quality of companies that submitted this year is really a testament to the evolution and continued growth that this region is experiencing in innovative and exciting technologies."
These awards are the latest in a series of recent, prestigious distinctions that recognize the value Onaro delivers to customers. These include:
- 2005 eWeek Excellence Award for Enterprise Storage Software
