Onaro Named Top 10 Private Company by Byte and Switch

Leading SAN management company recognized for product innovation, growing list of enterprise customers

BOSTON, Mass. – August 22, 2005 – Onaro, Inc., the pioneer of change management software for storage area networks (SANs), today announced that for the second consecutive year it has been named a Top Ten Private Company by Byte and Switch, a leading online resource for the storage networking industry. The Top Ten Private Companies list, determined by a select group of Byte and Switch editors, represents private companies that are best meeting the storage networking needs of enterprise customers.

"Onaro’s SANscreen predictive change management software continues to address what no other SAN software vendor can lay claim to, namely predicting the effect of changes on a SAN," said Mary Jander, site editor for Byte and Switch. “The company’s innovative outlook, impressive list of customers, and continued strong revenue growth made Onaro an easy pick for our list. We expect to see more good things from this forward-looking company."

Top Ten Companies were selected based on their private status, product innovation, successful customer deployments and use of the vendor’s product.

Companies who are using Onaro SANscreen to manage their SANs include AOL, ConAgra Foods, State Street Global Advisors, and Wyeth Pharmaceuticals. Onaro sales have been exceptionally strong for the first half of 2005 and the company expects this trend to continue.

"Byte and Switch’s recognition highlights what customers and many others in the industry already know: Onaro is committed to offering the best in SAN management solutions," said Andrew Bird, Onaro vice president of marketing. "Onaro has enjoyed a tremendously successful 2005 and we have an incredible amount of momentum heading into 2006. We look forward to even greater success."
