The Array Performance Module for Application Insight discovers, collects and maintains performance information measured by critical array metrics throughout the SAN. Without using agents, the Array Performance Module for Application Insight automatically collects this information in near real time across all the arrays and maintains it in raw format for seven days.
The Array Performance Module enables the optimal alignment of storage resources with application service level requirements by identifying:

Array contention and bottlenecks in the context of impacted hosts and applications
- Discover array hot spots and impacted volumes
- Discover risk of creating hot spots by adding additional host/applications
- Identify hot arrays, hot disks, hot Volumes, impacted hosts and applications
- Underutilized storage and then reclaim or consolidate
Determine which volumes have not received significant volume throughput and are candidates for reclamation.
- Reclaim volumes to be reused
- Identify top underutilize and utilized arrays
