SANscreen Service Insight delivers a global view of the services delivered tby the storage infrastructure. But without a requested service policy to compare the delivered policies against, the service levels have no meaning.
SANscreen Service Assurance has a sophisticated policy rules engine that assigns policies automatically or manually to applications or hosts or volumes.

Service policy rules can be established on such parameters as redundancy level, volume sharing, minimum host ports, minimum storage ports and maximum number of switch hops for a path.
With service levels established, Service Assurance can provide a high level dashboard detailing the presence of service policy violations by application. This information is easily understood by application owners, help desk personnel or system administrators.
