Real time visibility into the “storage services” delivered by the storage Infrastructure
SANscreen Service Insight is the baseline product for Onaro’s SANscreen suite. Service Insight operates agentlessly, out of band, real time across all major storage vendors platform to:
- Discover the physical and logical configuration of devices in the networked storage environment
- Build a service model of exactly how the interaction of these devices both logically and physically delivers a service to an application
- Detect changes in the storage environment and correlate these changes to the service level changes
- Detect the presence of storage virtualizers
- When used with VM Insight, provide path visibility for virtual machines from VM to volume
Service Insight takes significant advantage of the Service Intelligence Engine (SIE), a sophisticated real time processing engine that is capable of scaling to 10,000 switch ports or more in a single instance. Onaro currently has customers using SANscreen in production from 100 TB to 20 PB and from 100 switch ports to 70,000.
